Project Warm-Up is an initiative by Dharamshala Global Shapers Hub. Keeping in mind that there are few families which are unable to provide enough warm clothes for themselves even in the harsh cold weather, project Warm-Up was started at the beginning of 2018 by Dharamshala Hub.
Warm jackets were provided to 48 kids and adults with special needs at Surya Uday Charitable Trust. This year again we plan to provide warm clothes to students belonging to low income families, studying at various schools around Dharamshala.
We visited few schools and other areas and collected the data of children who cannot afford the winter basics. These visits were helpful and an eye opener for us and that’s why we plan to run this project every year.
We are seeking support from public at large to help raise finances for this project. An average cost for the sweater is around Rs. 500/- to 700/- per sweater. Your generous contribution of any amount will help us provide winter clothing to the needy children in and around Dharamshala.
We have kept the contribution to a small amount, with a hope, that more people will come forward and connect with this campaign.
