Currently living in Dharamshala, a beautiful city, in the midst of mountains in northern India, I try to balance my life between few “for purpose” initiatives and family. Being a first-generation entrepreneur I am trying to create work opportunities in small towns and rural areas by leveraging Internet and Information Technology.
Primarily I serve as a CEO of Development Logics (DL), a for-profit company. Our mandate is to use IT and management skills to solve developmental challenges faced by masses. Some of our key outcomes include building one of the largest WIFI network in our district offering Internet service in remote rural areas. We are offering cheap and efficient Internet connectivity to rural banks, homestays in rural areas, computer labs in government schools and similar business for whom the Internet is the new fuel for growing economy in these areas.
Since last 4 years, we have been running a rural BPO providing customer support services to few clients in the US. Similarly, our digital marketing team is helping customers drive relevant traffic to their websites and mobile apps. Together the 2 teams are helping our customers increase their business by generating new leads and improving customer services. The DL model helps keep the costs low, yet has created employment opportunities in this remote region.
